We recently updated this Silver over Medium Grey Metallic '57 Sedan Delivery. As the exterior had already been nicely refinished, we moved right to the dated interior and gave it a fresh new look. The conventional instrumentation was refitted with a slick Dakota Digital Analog cluster, we built and installed a custom center console to house the audio system, stainless cup holders, power window switches and center A/C vent outlets. The front and rear floors were covered with heat and sound cancelling “Hush Mat” insulation before we installed the heavy jute pad and custom fitted premium carpeting. The front bench seat was completely restored and upholstered with one of our custom designed and textured coverings as were the dash pad and door panels. A custom headliner was also installed along with full length rear side and tailgate panels with rear LED lighting, a covered floor compartment at the rear houses the spare tire and jack. Under the hood sits a GM 5.7L 4bbl V8 with an automatic transmission, both of which were installed during the original restoration. A much improved “Be Cool” aluminum radiator with transmission cooler has been added to keep things cool under the hood….a very nice “turn key and go” classic.
These Sedan Deliveries have always been popular for us, basically they provide the “utility” aspect not common to most collector cars. The cargo area allows ample space for cargo or personal items and the exterior side panels are ideal for promotion or company logos.
